Installation
Installation is a simple, one-person operation. The unit is mounted into a 3-4 inch cutout in the barrier. All hardware and cables are supplied including a continuous-duty, 100-240 V power supply with 15 V output. Please specify barrier thickness when ordering.
TTU-3X Window Intercom Systems
The TTU-3X Window intercom systems Series is a simple way to provide clear and high quality communication through glass or any barriers of any kind.
TTU-3X Series is the best choice when it’s impractical to cut a hole through an isolation barrier. The prism shaped units are mounted on a countertop on both sides of the barrier and allow hands-free, clear communication.
The TTU-3X comes ready to operate. The prism units are quickly and easily mounted on the counter-top on opposite sides of the barrier. The unit can be positioned against the barrier or any location convenient for the user. It comes with a power supply with 100-240 VAC input and 15 VDC, 1A output.
TTU-4 & TTU-5 Window Intercom Systems
The activities of inmates and patients in high-security or sensitive types of areas requires a special kind of communication system. The system must be sensitive enough to deliver clear, intelligible communications in high-ambient noise environments. It must be durable enough to withstand a tough environment. And it must provide a measure of control for those responsible for the inmates or patients.
The TTU-4 & TTU-5 Window intercom systems are designed for maximum security, making it the preferred system for correctional facilities, secure patient areas, and other environments where security is of utmost importance. All the components including the microphones are housed in the sleek, compact units to minimize unauthorized adjustment and tampering.
Installation
The TTU-4’s prism units are quickly and easily mounted on the counter-top on opposite sides of the barrier. The unit can be positioned against the barrier or any location convenient for the user. Maximum separation between the inside and outside units is suggested. Positioning the units too close or back to back against the barrier may result in audio feedback. The TTU-5 is installed flush against a wall, with internals hidden behind the unit in the wall.
TTU-7X Window Intercom Systems
The TTU-7X Window Intercom System Series is a simple way to provide clear and high-quality communication through glass or any barriers of any kind.
The TTU-7X is ideal for installations when it’s impractical to have the full 2½” control section of a TTU on the inside of the barrier. This normally occurs when a security gate or shade is used. The TTU-7X combines the external unit of the TTU-1 with a countertop inside unit from the TTU-3 giving customers the best of both worlds.

The TTU-3-X”s prism-shaped units are ideal for counter-top mounting on both sides of a barrier.
The TTU-3-X incorporates the same high-quality electronics as the basic patented Norcon TTU-1-XA Talk-Thru system.
Installation
The TTU-3-X comes ready to operate, simply mount the prism units on opposite sides of the barrier. The prism units can be positioned back-to-back or in any other configuration suitable for your environment. Cables may either be routed through a small hole in the barrier or under the counter-top.
All Talk-Thru systems are shipped complete with mounting hardware, instructions, and power supply.
